Michael Gunner, It's not too much to ask to have Territory workers protected.
Just this week, at least 6 workers have been assaulted on the job Five police have been punched, kicked, bitten and spat on in Alice Springs alone and an ambo was spat on in Karama. Imagine how many teachers, corrections officers, shop workers have suffered the same.
All Territory workers need protection. That’s why the CLP has introduced legislation for mandatory minimum penalties for first time offenders who assault a worker. Territorians just need the Gunner Labor Government to #backthebill to protect Territorian workers.
